Free tickets to comfortable viewing
More online fun to be had, as Renegade Con announced! We’ve had Mantic move online, we’re awaiting CMON and Paizo, and now Renegade Games join the fun. Where the others have been as a result of their physical convention cancelling, this will be Renegade’s first convention, and all of it virtual.
The event will be from Friday, June 5th 2020, to Sunday June 7th 2020. Tickets are completely free, though you’ll need to register through Eventbrite to collect them, which will give you access to the schedule and the links you’ll need, as well as some special graphics for avatars, and additional as yet unexplained benefits, so it encourages you to sign up.
The event will be conducted through a number of different mediums, which hopefully will minimise any technical difficulties viewers may have with specific types. You’ll find Renegade Con Virtual across twitch, Youtube, Facebook and Discord, and also find them on Tabletopia and Roll20.
It’s fair to say this is the most detailed schedule of events we’ve seen – there’s Renegade TV, workshops, panels and interviews, board game demos, RPG demos, RPG Live Plays, and Learn to Play’s from Friday June 5th to Sunday June 7th, and it looks packed. Included in the demos are games not released yet, including Kids on Brooms, due out August 2020. In Workshops, you’ll have options from Running your First RPG to Advanced Painting MMPR, and interviews range from Shem Philips to Randy Hoyt and more. There’s even a panel entitled ‘Just Wait: Power Rangers’, which we’d expect it likely discuss its newest game expansion launched on Kickstarter, Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid Rise of the Psycho Rangers.
Thankfully, there’s a daily wrap up, just in case you miss anything, because they tell us it’s everything you’d see at a typical convention and more.
