More Stars than in the Milky Way

Wizards of Coast have announced their D&D Live Event 2020 called Roll w/ Advantage, which is due to take place on June 18th to 20th 2020. This event will call in celebrity appearances, whilst raising money for Red Nose Day.

The “brightest stars” being brought to the virtual table make up it’s “most star-studded D&D event ever”. It’ll include Chris Perkins (principle D&D writer) taking Felicia Day (Dragon Age), Brett Gelman (Fleabag), David Harbour (Stranger things), Brandon Routh (Superman Returns), Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever), and Martin Starr (Silicone Valley) through adventures suitable for those new to D&D on Friday and Saturday at 10am PST.

In addition to those, there’s also a D&D WWE game, with Jeremy Crawford as Dungeon Master and Alexa Bliss, Tyler Breeze, Dio Maddin, Ember Moon, and Xavier Woods joining in the fun at 2pm PST on Saturday, June 20th

Super fans such as Matthew Lillard (Scooby-Doo, Scream), Deborah Ann Woll (True Blood), Janina Gavankar (Star Wars Battlefront II), and Brian Posehn (Mr Show) will also feature in various games played across the event, and we’ll also get to see D&D Product Deep Dives and the panels we love to see.

Notably, Karen Gillan (Doctor Who, Guardians of the Galaxy) also makes an appearance in the video posted for D&D Live, however, her name is not shown within the list of attendees, so we can only wait and see.

The event will be broadcast for free on Youtube and Twitch, however, you can make a donation to Red Nose Day and register through the D&D Live Event Portal, which provides access to advance registration for future sessions, D&D Adventurers league offering new adventures, and a selection of the best character suited to help the region through reality RP.

There’s also merch available for the event, in the form of a special adventure called Return to Glory, suitable for orc characters level 6-8, and apparel you can purchase, of which profits will go to Red Nose Day.

Of course, D&D recently raised money for Comic Relief with comedians Sue Perkins, Nish Kumar, Sara Pascoe and Ed Gamble, in a successful if unusual evening resulting in £24,879 being raised, so we can be confident this has a great chance of being hugely successful at raising funds!
