A classic game meets the dark regions of space.
The 41st millennium has arrived, and so in Usaopoly (The Op)’s partnership with Games Workshop, you’ve now got the opportunity to embrace the Warhammer world in a Risk Game, launching this Autumn in RISK: Warhammer 40,000.
You’ll have seen this partnership in action previously when it created MONOPOLOY: Warhammer 40,000 from The Op, formerly Usaopoly, but you’ll find no £200 for passing go in this game.
Instead, you’ll dominate your opponents in battles set during the War of the Beasts. The Op have explained that the planet Vigilus is at the mercy of five warring Factions: Ultramarines, Orks, Chaos Space Marines, Aeldari Craftworlds, and Genestealer Cults, each represented by tokens for their Leaders and custom game pieces for their single and triple-threat units. It’s the Battle of the War of The Beasts, and you’re centre stage.
You’ll have custom sculpted units to allow you to control the needed locations to seek to rule the planet. Each leader will have special abilities, and armies can be deployed to attack and defend using custom red and black dice, on a customised map of a unique planet just for Warhammer fans. You get the impression it’s been customised!
You’ll gain reward cards when you complete objectives, which allow you to gain additional armies and advantages. You’ll need to conquer three objectives, but also gain complete control of all territories to win "Total Domination", and thus the game.
Play time is approximately an hour, suitable for ages 10+ and for between three and five players.
