You'll need to build a new wing on your house to host this smorgasbord of minis.

Budding game developers, take note of this week’s Kickstarter news. Licensed boardgames of beloved superhero franchises stuffed to bursting with minis and stretch goals do exceptionally well these days. Marvel United left it’s goal in the dust and Batman: The Animated Series Adventures has already passed the £1 million mark with three days left.

Batman: The Animated Series Adventures is a cooperative boardgame putting players in control of characters like Batman, Robin, Catwoman, Batgirl, and Commissioner Gordon as they go up against the rogues gallery of villains including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Mr Freeze, Penguin, Two Face, The Riddler, Scarecrow, and, most importantly, Manbat.

In the co-op mode villains are controlled using AI cards that determines their actions in a simple way while the initiative deck ensures that each round plays out differently. As long as you can shuffle properly. Players can use gadgets from the show on mission boards with locations from the show as they share dice (not from the show) to make the best strategic decisions and inflict U rated violence on faceless henchmen.

Where Batman: The Animated Series Adventures really excites us though is in the 1v4 mode that puts one player in the shoes of a villain. Take on the mantle of Pack Rat, Bane, Ra's Al Ghul, Etrigan, Red Claw, Mighty Mom, or any of the other villains that have been unlocked. And if you go for the ‘all in’ pledge the number of villains skyrockets to ridiculous levels.

But most importantly, Alfred is a playable hero but only if you back the Kickstarter. So what are you waiting for? You can back the campaign here.
