Four days of round the clock gaming and tournaments in Telford

There’s a new event on the tabletop gaming calendar this year, courtesy of Strategy - The Tabletop Gaming Event, which is making its debut at the Telford International Centre on 25-28 August.

Brought to you by MCM Central, the company behind the hugely successful MCM London Comic Con and other top pop culture events, the show will feature board games, card games, miniatures games and roleplaying games - plus a large dedicated tournament and playing space. What’s more, the venue will be open 24-hours-a-day from Thursday until Sunday, ensuring you can get your gaming fix whenever you like… if you can keep your eyes open, that is!

Already announced are panels (including a guide to turning your idea for a game into a reality), special events and a multitude of both large and small tournaments for a range of games, including Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Cardfight!! Vanguard and more.

A selection of the miniatures-based tournaments are being organised by Battlefield Hobbies, including the first ever official Beyond the Gates of Antares tournament, a Bolt Action tournament and more World War II action with Flames of War. Plus, Battlefield Hobbies has also just announced it will be running a Warmachine and Hordes tournament too… so plenty to get your teeth into.

The new show is run by games industry veteran Rob Hooley, who joins MCM from Konami Europe, where he was events manager for its hugely successful Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. Rob has also worked as an events/brand manager for Tomy and as organised play manager for Upper Deck International.
