ENnie-awarded roleplaying title uses poker deck to resolve events

Faith, the ENnie Award-winning sci-fi RPG from Spanish publisher Burning Games, is back on Kickstarter to crowdfund a new edition of its core rulebook – plus some extra bonuses.

Faith originally raised more than £41,000 back in 2015 to fund its initial RPG-in-a-box offering, which includes decks of cards used to resolve combat, confrontations and other events in lieu of rolling dice.

Last year, Burning Games headed back to the crowdfunding platform with A Garden In Hell, Faith’s starter box and campaign, gathering close to £20,000.

This latest campaign aims to support a revised ‘2.0’ edition of the core rulebook, which comes with the NPC and gear decks of cards required to drive Faith’s systems.

The 300-plus-page volume includes details on Faith’s rules, plus in-universe information on locations, stories, spaceship mechanics and creatures.

New to the game are 35mm resin miniatures designed for use as player avatars during a campaign. Designed by BigChildCreatives, the range includes male and female variants for the raag, corvo, iz’kal and human species.

€30 (£26) will nab you a digital copy of the core book and decks, with €70 (£60) bumping it up to a physical version. €99 (£85) then throws in the eight miniatures. Shipping, as usual, will be added after the campaign ends.

Release is expected for November this year. The campaign will end on April 20th.
