The DLC will be MoM 2e's first digital expansion
$2.99 in-app purchase mysteriously teased for winter release
Fantasy Flight has teased the first DLC for Mansions of Madness Second Edition.
Although the original Mansions added a number of boxed expansions following its release in 2011, the upcoming untitled add-on will mark the first digital expansion for the second edition’s companion app.
Described as ‘scenario DLC’ in a tweet by FFG, it remains unclear whether the $2.99 in-app purchase will include just one extra scenario or multiple new additions.
It also remains to be seen whether the $2.99 cost will unlock the DLC across multiple devices or just a single smartphone or tablet.
The news follows rumours of a boxed expansion, codenamed ‘MAD23’, discovered in code within the companion app. MAD23 appears to be a separate add-on for the title rather than linked to the newly-revealed DLC, including new tiles, the Thrall monster and two scenarios.
The unnamed app DLC will be released this winter.
