Our round-up of the tabletop offers out there
Black Friday 2018 has kicked off, with the yearly sales event bringing with it price cuts on everything from toasters to toothbrushes – and, of course, lots and lots of games.
We've rounded up some of the best UK and European tabletop deals we've spotted out in the internet wilderness below, with savings on the latest and classic board games, collectible trading card games, miniatures, accessories, RPGs, and more. You name it, there's probably a Black Friday deal for it.
To mark the occasion – and help you all save a few quid this Christmas – we've also slashed the price on digital subscriptions to Tabletop Gaming and Miniature Wargames, making the magazines half price for a week.
An annual digital subscription – that's 12 issues over 12 months – to the world's best gaming magazine is half price via Pocketmags until November 30th 2018! If you're after a physical copy of the magazine, including the free and exclusive promo gifts featured on the cover each month, don't forget that we now have free P&P to the UK as standard through our own online store.
We've also knocked half the price off a digital subscription to Miniature Wargames on Pocketmags until November 30th!
Arguably the online shop that started the Black Friday craze in the UK, Amazon has a wide spread of games in this year's sale, ranging from family classics like Monopoly to party games and modern favourites such as Dobble. Like most of its deals, many of these are timed to go live at certain poitns of the day, and some have a limited amount available – so you'll need to move fast to nab them.
The developer has knocked up to 60% off its digital library of games including Ascension, Twilight Struggle Pathfinder Adventures, Talisman, XenoShyft, Abalone and Smash Up on PC (via Steam), the iOS App Store and Android through Google Play.
The miniatures maker has brought back some of its impressive models for Black Friday, knocking a few quid off such as its Armoured Bear (down to £14 from £18) and selling a Goblin Wizard as a Black Friday special offer for £4 down from £6. Take a look here.
The indie British game publisher has limited-time deals on its Terry Pratchett adaptation Clacks, Mexican wrestling dice game Luchador!, strategy game Dance of the Fireflies and travel-sized title Codinca, with low prices just for this week.
The newly-merged publisher has halved the price of several of its most popular games, including InBetween, 5 Minute Chase, Pocket Mars, Harvest Dice and Multiversum – including the big box packing in both the base game and its Cthulhu expansion – while fantasy game Mistfall is better than half price at €20, down from €55.
The maker of sci-fi skirmish game Infinity is making it easy for new players to jump into the game, knocking its Operation Red Veil and Operation Ice Storm – both of which include their Beyond expansions – down to €70 from €135. Meanwhile, a bundle for the game's fast-paced sports spin-off Aristeia! is reduced by €50 to €100. There's a few other deals going on, too – find them here.
The online retailer is running flash deals every three hours on everything from Pokemon Trading Card Game accessories to Magic: The Gathering's 2018 Commander Set, as well as reducing the price of board games like Takenoko and Catch the Moon.
Continuing its tradition of putting together bundles of goodies for Black Friday, the Walking Dead: All Out War, Kings of War and Dungeon Saga studio has two 'Sensible Boxes' going for £30, containing miniatures and other bits worth more than £80. The two varieties both include an expansion for Kings of War, a team for sports game DreadBall, some fo the company's TerrainCrate scenery and company founder Ronnie as either a Walking Dead zombie walker or fantasy bard. Elsewhere, there's up to half price off games, books and models until November 30th, including the Collector's Edition of All Out War, Warpath vehicles and playmats. Find all that and more in Mantic's online store.
The British games studio has up to 75% off its miniatures and board games, as well as some limited-edition figures: the festive Christmas roast model for £15, the limited-edition Mournblade for £20 and zombie furnace for £9. Guild Ball players can pick up any metal legend captain for £9, while any metal Guild Ball team is £25. If you're new to the sports miniatures game, the Season 4 intro pack is £75. Meanwhile, three of the exclusive expansions for the Dark Souls board game are reduced: grab the Guardian Dragon and Old Iron King for £60 apiece, or the terrifying Four Kings for £80. Steamforged warns that it expects the popularity of the deals to delay shipping, but anything purchased during its Black Friday sale should be sent out by December 14th – hopefully in time for Christmas.
Another miniatures bonanza, the Bolt Action maker has a 3 for 2 deal on selected boxes for its samurai miniatures game Test of Honour, a third off of selected terrain and half-price resin and plastic vehicles.

You'll also find deals on a range of miniatures and board games, including Deep-Cut Studio, Fantasy Flight Games, Vallejo and Privateer Press – all with triple loyalty points for Wayland regulars. The UK online shop has announced plans for Black Friday deals alongside its seasonal Autumn sale. You can save an extra few pennies if you buy multiple games by using the codes BOARD3 (to save 3% on three or more games) or BOARD5 (5% off with five or more games).
