Players get the TTRPG they deserve and DC heroes get the one they need right now
An officially licensed Justice League TTRPG is coming to Gamefound, and signups for the crowdfunding campaign are now live. Justice League Unlimited: The Roleplaying Game is a narrative-driven tabletop roleplaying game that invites players to forge their own legends within the expansive DC universe. Players can either create a unique hero or assume the identity of an established character.
Co-authored by renowned DC creator Mark Waid (The Flash, Superman: Birthright and Kingdom Come), this is the first official Justice League TTRPG in almost two decades. Going live on Gamefound in July 2026, the project is created by Brazilian games publisher D20 Culture and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products.

Set in a universe influenced by Amanda Waller’s actions in the DC comic-book series Absolute Power, the ‘Unlimited’ Justice League operates from a new satellite called the Watchtower welcoming all heroes to join its ranks.
Character creation is a core aspect of the game, as players have complete freedom to bring their own vision of a hero to life with a vast array of races and philosophies. From Amazons to Kryptonians, Meta-Humans and Cyber Constructs, players can craft backstories to define their motivations and approaches to conflict. They can become The Champion of Tomorrow and inspire hope, The Dark Knight who wields fear as a weapon from the shadows or build from many other hero archetypes.
“In Justice League Unlimited: The Roleplaying Game, being a hero goes beyond simply defeating villains,” an official statement reveals. “The narrative delves into the profound responsibility of bearing this mantle. In the beginning, players will answer five fundamental questions, the League’s ‘Tacit Clauses,’ which define each character’s moral code.”

Players can customise their Attributes (Potency, Accuracy, Agility, Resistance, Spirit and Mind) using Ascension Points (PAX), as well as purchasing powers which evolve over time – eventually allowing them to wield influence on a planetary scale. Powers can take many forms including Super Strength, Flight, Speed Force, Magic, Telepathy, technological Exoskeletons and Lantern Rings, to name just a few.
“Tabletop games have such an amazing opportunity to bring new stories to fans and allow them to experience these beloved worlds and characters in a whole new way,” says co-author Mark Waid. “Approaching Justice League Unlimited: The Roleplaying Game, my priority has been to set up a new story that fits authentically into this canon and builds upon it to provide a narrative playground for players to make their own. I can’t wait to reveal more so stay tuned.”
“With Justice League Unlimited: The Roleplaying Game, we are really pushing our work to new heights to create an original and bold system for players to immerse themselves in the tales of the Justice League,” adds Peterson Rodrigues, CEO at D20 Culture. “We cannot wait to bring this to audiences across the world.”

D20 Culture has designed the game’s system as a tool to create heroic sagas, fostering interpretation and collaboration between players and the ‘Editor’ running the game, as players narrate their heroes’ deeds.
The game unfolds in a series of dynamic scenes, including:
Combat Scenes. Fast-paced and cinematic threats ranging from street-level henchmen to apocalyptic forces.
Saving Scenes. Time sensitive missions to rescue innocent people from different disasters.
Interlude Moments. Quiet moments that allow players to delve deeper into their hero’s personality, interact with allies outside the battlefield, progress in personal arcs and recover for their next crisis.
The Crisis Die. Activating the Crisis Die unleashes catastrophic events that alter history’s course – such as an unforeseen alien invasion, the loss of powers or the arrival of a time traveller.
