The feared pirate captain sports the Tyrant’s Claw
The Grotmas festivities concluded in spectacular fashion with a new model reveal for Warhammer 40,000: Huron Blackheart, feared Master of the Red Corsairs and scourge of the Maelstrom.
This new plastic kit captures the warlord in all his brutal glory. Half of his body has been vaporised by a melta blast, his armour grotesquely shattered down the right side – yet from the wreckage comes sheer menace, as the fearsome Tyrant’s Claw is grafted in place of what was lost.
The backstory hinted at in the reveal is classic Blackheart: after a mysterious resurrection, the pirate captain cut a bloody swathe through the Maelstrom, forcing every scoundrel and reaver he encountered into the ranks of his Red Corsairs. Charismatic and brutal in equal measure, he’s built a dread reputation that stretches far beyond his own domain – and he’s as quick to execute betrayal as he is to plunder warships.
Of course, a captain is nothing without his crew – and GW has teased that Huron won’t be alone for long. More members of his command team are due to be revealed in 2026, leaving fans to speculate wildly on who (or what) will join him next.
