eBay has launched a new trading card price guide in the UK, allowing Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Disney Lorcana collectors to check recent sales data
eBay has launched its new trading card price guide in the UK, giving collectors access to recent, verified sales data from the online marketplace to help them make more informed decisions when buying and selling cards.
The new price guide begins rolling out to UK eBay account holders from today, 1 September 2026, and is available through the latest version of the eBay app. Collectors can use their smartphone camera to scan cards and quickly find relevant sales data, with the service supporting both raw and selected graded trading card singles.
The launch makes eBay the first online marketplace in the UK to offer collectors a dedicated trading card price guide based on its own completed sales. The guide draws on up to two years of completed transactions on eBay.co.uk, including accepted Best Offer prices, with data updated within the previous 24 hours.
Collectors can also compare sold cards with active listings and view PSA and CGC population report data, providing additional information about a card’s market value and rarity.

To access the price guide, collectors using the latest eBay mobile app can head to My eBay and select “Scan cards” from the Shortcuts menu. From there, users can:
Scan and identify cards: Use a smartphone camera to identify raw or selected graded trading cards and find relevant comparable sales.
Check recent sales: View up to two years of first-party eBay sales data, including accepted Best Offer prices.
Compare prices: Toggle between sold and active listings to see how cards are performing on the marketplace.
Check population data: View PSA and CGC population report information to help understand rarity.
Use it for free: The price guide is available to UK eBay account holders with no subscription fees or usage limits.
Price guide insights will also be made available elsewhere across eBay’s app and desktop experience as the rollout continues, including directly from trading card listings through the “See insights” option.
Values for trading cards can vary significantly depending on factors including condition, grading and demand, meaning recent sales data can provide useful context for collectors looking to establish the current market value of a card.

The new price guide follows eBay’s introduction of authenticity protection for trading cards in the UK earlier this year. eBay UK’s Authenticity Guarantee service was introduced as part of the marketplace’s wider investment in the trading card hobby.
According to eBay, collectables were the largest contributor to the company’s global GMV growth in Q2 2026, while trading cards continue to be a major area of growth. Adam Ireland, Vice President and General Manager, Global Collectables at eBay, says: “We’re continuing to invest in our trading card business and support our dedicated community of buyers and sellers with innovations that streamline the shopping experience. Earlier this year, we launched Authenticity Guarantee for trading cards in the UK. Now, we’re putting even more information in collector’s hands with eBay’s price guide, making it easier than ever for seasoned collectors and new enthusiasts to participate in the fast-paced trading card hobby.”
The launch comes during a particularly busy period for the trading card hobby, with Pokémon celebrating its 30th anniversary, MCM Comic Con continuing to attract thousands of fans and a packed release schedule bringing new cards to collectors.
Pokémon remains a major draw for UK collectors. eBay says that users searched for “Pokémon” more than 105 times per minute on average during 2025.
The value of rare Pokémon products has also continued to reach significant levels. In April 2026, a 2000 Pokémon Gym Challenge 1st Edition Booster Box sold on eBay for £37,000, following Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations and a slate of new trading card releases.
Magic: The Gathering has similarly seen major sales, with a serialised The One Ring (79/100) selling for £19,850 in January 2025.
Meanwhile, interest in the One Piece Card Game has been rising, with searches for “One Piece” on eBay.co.uk increasing by 55% month-on-month in January 2026, as anticipation built around the second season of Netflix’s live-action adaptation.
More recently, eBay says “Pokémon” was searched more than six million times on eBay.co.uk in July 2026 alone, highlighting the scale of interest in trading card collecting in the UK.
The new price guide will initially cover cards from popular trading card games including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Disney Lorcana, giving collectors another way to keep track of the rapidly changing trading card market. Users will need the latest version of the eBay mobile app to use the card-scanning feature.
eBay says the price guide will help both experienced collectors and newcomers understand recent market activity before buying or selling trading cards.
