Altered TCG is getting a new lease of life, with its entire card collection now available to order as print-on-demand products – including two previously unreleased sets
Altered TCG is returning to players’ tables through a new print-on-demand partnership between publisher Equinox and Twilight Dimension, Inc., the company behind the Forgefire suite of tabletop gaming software. The partnership will make Altered TCG cards available to purchase through the Forgefire Connect platform, allowing existing players to continue building their collections and giving newcomers a new way to get into the collectible card game.
The entire Altered TCG card collection is being offered through the service, including cards from two sets that were never previously released. Players will be able to order standard and foil cards, with products available in multiple languages.
The announcement comes after Equinox discontinued Altered TCG earlier in 2026, following what the company described as adverse market conditions.
Originally launched in February 2024 (it was one of our picks from Essen 2023), Altered TCG became one of the most successful tabletop gaming crowdfunding campaigns ever created, before going on to receive four additional sets and attract thousands of players at major events. Now, Equinox is looking to give the game a second life through print-on-demand.
“We are thrilled to work with Equinox to make this beautiful game available to the thousands of players that continue to play, as well as to new players looking to enter the world of Altered,” said Christian T. Petersen, CEO of Twilight Dimension, Inc.
The partnership isn’t limited to cards, as Equinox will also use Forgefire’s print-on-demand technology to offer hundreds of customisable Altered TCG playmat designs, using artwork from across the game’s extensive collection. The print-on-demand Altered TCG cards and playmats are available now through Forgefire Connect.

Equinox is an independent French collectible card game studio founded by Régis Bonnessée, who previously founded Dixit publisher Libellud. “So much love and care was put into this game, and so many fans remain loyal and engaged,” Régis, CEO of Equinox and designer of Altered TCG, says. “We are therefore pleased to work with Forgefire to give our game a new life in the form of their high-quality print-on-demand solution.”
For Twilight Dimension, the Altered TCG partnership adds another tabletop gaming application to its Forgefire platform. The Minnesota-based company also operates AWEbase, which helps publishers manage contractors, as well as Playstile, which supports retailer and publisher event management, tournaments and other functions designed to support gaming communities.
With Altered TCG no longer dependent on traditional print runs for its cards, the print-on-demand model could offer existing fans a way to keep playing, while also potentially making it easier for new players to discover the game and access its extensive card pool.
