If you’re a fan of Orcs Must Die, here’s a piece of news that ‘orc’ to make you happy. (We’re sorry, we couldn’t resist.)

Sandy Petersen’s adaptation of the tower defence video game is getting a new print run that will take to Kickstarter next month.

Orcs Must Die: The Board Game originally funded on the crowdfunding site back in 2015, and went out to backers late last year.

The game is actually split into two different versions – Unchained puts players in the shoes of the baddies, trying to overrun the trap-filled castle, while Order returns them to the goody-goody shoes of the heroes fending off the invasion. The two can be combined to pit two teams of human players against each other.

Chatting to BoardGameGeek, Petersen Games said that there will be a Kickstarter campaign for a revised reprint of the game in the second half of April, as well as new modules and accessories.

Meanwhile, BGG user Fnorbl Fnorblobson suggests that there will be improvements made to the rulebook and minion sheets – previously offered to existing owners of the game – as well as the introduction of new enemies and bosses, plus a brand new mechanic involving guardian characters.
