Junggle is a collection of five animal-themed games set to drive spelling pedants bonkers

Before you ask: yes, Junggle is spelt with the double ‘g’. At least, it is in the case of the newly-announced set of kid-friendly games from designers Bruno Faidutti and Anja Wrede.

Five different playing variants are included in the tin, all of which use the same deck of circular cards illustrated with a variety of creatures from across the animal kingdom, including cheetahs, rhinos, snakes, elephants and crocodiles, plus a central animal wheel card that outlines the hierarchy of which beast scares which.

All of the games can apparently be played in 10 to 15 minutes with a group of nearly any size.

In King of the Jungle mode, players battle to have the highest-ranked animal in their hand at the end of the round by peeking at facedown cards on the table.

Party in the Jungle, meanwhile, is a bluffing variant where players choose to give one of their three cards to another player each turn, with that player opting whether to accept the facedown offer or reject it.

The remaining three play modes are yet to be detailed, but Junggle is said to be ‘coming soon’ by publisher Z-Man.
