Out next June

Collectible miniatures game HeroClix is throwing a monster party for its 15th anniversary next year – literally.

A new expansion has been announced for the game that will introduce a roster of ghouls and ghosts to the series, including spectres, skeletons, zombies, werewolves, demons and famous gothic horror characters such as Dr Jekyll.

Those of you who have been fans of HeroClix for a while might recall the similar scary spin-off series HorrorClix, which was launched back in 2006 and came to an end two years later after venturing from traditional monsters into worlds such as Alien vs. Predator, Cthulhu and Freddy vs. Jason. (We've used a picture of HorrorClix's Unholy Trinity model up top, as no pictures of HeroClix: Undead have surfaced yet.)

For now, the HeroClix: Undead expansion remains just that, but if it proves popular, who knows what the future holds for the horror range of figures.

HeroClix: Undead is out next year, during the very unspooky month of June.
