Welcome to another Kickstarter Round Up! This week we've got some surreal RPGs – be you an animal, or a liar who can manipulate reality – a game that asks you to demonstrate your humanity, fighting cars in a deathly race, and more.

Animal Adventures: The Faraway Sea 

Why should humans have all the fun? This project from Steamforged brings a magical fog known as the Rift, to Animal Adventures, which, as the title suggests, is a roleplaying game centred around playing as specific animals. Here, you can be an albatross, an alpaca, a fox, goat, Koala, orangutan, otter, pig, rabbit, or red panda, alongside a variety of classes. Plus, if you pledge for certain levels you can pick up the Kickstarter exclusive Baby Kraken, which can only be described as adorable.

Turing 

This new project from Man O' Kent Games is a 2-6 player, pocket sized filler game using image interpretation and controlled communication. Players will take turns to communicate their humanity using abstract images, and to win, all you'll need to do is connect.

Death Roads: All Stars 

A car fighting board game in a dystopian future, this game sees you take part in a thrilling TV show, putting your car and your life on the line for a chance at a golden ticket to paradise. You'll choose your car, driver, and weapon, whilst also managing the cars condition and handling, switching gears and playing cards. Destroy other drivers before they destroy you!

Described as a "somewhat cooperative expansion to On Mars", the game narrative players over four chapters of story, with new ways to expand upon and play the base game, On Mars. You'll need to have a copy of the base game in order to play.

Your warband of five greedy souls will face trials, treasure, recruit pets, and die in horrible ways.

Lancaster Board & Sword

We like to end a KS Round up with something a little board game adjacent, and a board game cafe in Lancaster seems the perfect way to do it! This FLGS is moving to a cafe, offering more space, more tables, food, drinks, and those all important games. This Kickstarter has funded, but with anything extra , in their words, "it could be even more awesome".
