With more to come!

Bardsung has been the word on everyone's lips (when you take out words such as 'Lockdown' and in some cases 'Christmas' and some others), the brand new dungeon exploring RPG board game from Steamforged Games. If you've not heard the word yet, then Steamforged has explained a little more about what it entails over on their site.

The game is due to hit Kickstarter shortly, on November 10th 2020, and today brings some exciting news to the table - namely, some impressive names!

The first being Rhianna Pratchett, who will be creating the campaign storyline and adventure for the game itself. Rhianna Pratchett has written for video games, winning awards for her writing, seen in narratives such as the rebooted Tomb Raider, and Rise of Tomb Raider (praised for their narrative and storytelling), as well as others such as Heavenly Sword, Mirror's Edge, and the Overlord Series. She has also worked with DC, Dark Horse, Dynamite and Kodansha on comics, and wrote the Fighting Fantasy novel Crystal of Storms, and if that wasn't enough, she's also written for TV and film, and is the co-director of Narrativia.

Then industry heavyweight Ian Livingstone will also be joining, writing adventures for it. Though he perhaps needs no introduction, let's offer one anyway, as he helped found Games Workshop, launch Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer. He also wrote the first Fighting Fantasy gamebook, as well as Deathtrap Dungeon. Plus, as Executive Chairman of Eidos, he launched video games such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. He's presently Chairman of the Sumo Group PLC and board director at Steamforged Games.

And finally - for now at least! - Sara Thompson, the creator of the 5e Compatible Combat Wheelchair, will also be writing adventures. Sara is known particularly for her work as a writer and advocate of better disability representation in RPGs, but has worked also for RTalsorianGames on the Witcher and sensitivity read for their other games. She also worked with Bardsung sculptors Russ Charles, Lead Sculptor at SFG and Tom Lishman, Sculptor at SFG, to create miniatures for the Combat Wheelchair Supplement.

More details will be unlocked throughout the Kickstarter campaign, and Steamforged games has promised further guest writers to be announced shortly. With these names already, we look forward to seeing who else is on board!
