The first Tabletop Gaming podcast is live and ready for you to cram in your earholes!

Hosted by Jonny Crawford, our first audio treat is the first episode of a four-part series on the history of tabletop gaming.

In the opening episode, Jonny is joined by historian and Head of History at the University of Huddersfield, Dr. Pat Cullum, and two-time British chess champion Gawain Jones to discuss the origins of one of the oldest and most widely-loved tabletop games in existence: chess.

In the episode, Jonny, Pat and Gawain chat about how chess made its way from its creation in ancient Asia to Europe, and why the game’s popularity has persisted across the centuries.

Each episode is only 10 minutes long, so it’s the perfect way to get a quick dose of tabletop history and culture during your lunch break or journey home.

We’ll be putting up the following three episodes during the rest of the week, so look out for our dives into card games, miniatures and the gaming community.
