Minecraft has quickly become the Lego of the video game world, becoming a common sight on the TV and iPad screens of adults and kids alike.

Just like Lego, the sandbox block-builder has also ventured out into other universes, adding skins from everything from Doctor Who and the Marvel universe to Star Wars and Super Mario.

As far as we’re aware, though, no tabletop characters have made the jump into the pixelated realm – until now.

Minecraft developer Mojang has teamed up with Wizards of the Coast to bring some of Magic: The Gathering’s planeswalkers to the PC and mobile versions of the game, with a release on console to follow.

Among the characters released as part of the skin pack are necromancer Liliana Vess, leonin Ajani Goldmane and the angel-like Avacyn.

The pack includes 15 skins in total for the Windows 10 and Pocket editions of Minecraft, with some available to use for free before paying for the remaining characters.
