London’s Alexandra Palace, September 28th and 29th 2019

Our Tabletop Gaming Live convention in London is now less than a month away, but we’re still adding exciting events to the weekend celebration of all things gaming on September 28th and 29th 2019!

Among the latest unmissable things we’ve got happening throughout the two days in Alexandra Palace are three new tournaments, all of which are completely free to enter and could see you grab some amazing goodies just for taking part or taking the top spot.

First up, we’ve got a free tournament for Kingdomino, the Spiel des Jahres-winning smash-hit game of kingdom-building that sees players placing tiles to expand their realm and score the most points. Head to the tournament area in Alexandra Palace’s West Hall on Saturday September 28th at 11am to take part and walk away with some free meeple stickers to spruce up your own copy of Kingdomino at home – win and you’ll take the ultimate crown!

On Sunday September 29th at 11am, we’ll have King of Tokyo out in the tournament zone in Alexandra Palace’s West Hall. Everyone that participates will get a free Zombify card for the dice-rolling favourite, with the chance to take control of massive monsters and powerful creatures and rampage through the city to claim the top title of King of Tokyo. Plus, head to the show floor in the Great Hall to play a super-sized version of the game!

Throughout the show, party game maker Big Potato will be challenging visitors to matches of OK Play Duel, the two-player version of its five-in-a-row game OK Play. Head to the Big Potato stand in the tournaments area to challenge Ben and his team of experts in a head-to-head match – if you win, you’ll walk away with a free potato plushie or a copy of the game for yourself. Even better, the top player of the whole weekend will win a massive pile of Big Potato games!

These three tournaments join loads of other events happening through Tabletop Gaming Live 2019, from designer talks and interactive painting and game design workshops to qualifying tournaments for games including Pandemic, Catan and the Dragon Ball Super Card Game that could see some lucky winners advance to the UK national championships. Find out more and enter for your shot at glory here.

Of course, we’ll also have countless games for everyone to play, from the brand new Dune – the first time the legendary game has been widely available in 35 years – to the latest expansion for Disney Villainous and upcoming games from Essen Spiel, such as dungeon-crawling hack ‘n’ slash adventure Sanctum and Ishtar: Gardens of Babylon, the next game from Kingdomino creator Bruno Cathala. That’s not to mention the latest versions of favourites including Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Love Letter and KeyForge.

Head to the show’s free open gaming area to play your latest purchase, or try something new before you buy from our massive game library provided by board game café The Ludoquist, with more than 400 games available!

Tabletop Gaming Live takes place in Alexandra Palace, London, on Sunday, September 28th and Sunday 29th 2019. Tickets, including family bundles (kids under 10 attend for free) and weekend passes, are available now from theticketfactory.com; if you buy before the day, you’ll be able to get in an hour early – giving you more time for playing!
