Games Workshop has revealed a brand new race joining Warhammer: Age of Sigmar’s Mortal Realms.

The Kharadron Overlords are a faction of dwarven duardin that seem to have a heavy influence from steampunk, with heavily armoured troops, chemically-enhanced weapons and floating airships and balloons as transportation.

Lore-wise, the Kharadron survived the Age of Chaos and broke away from their fellow duardin descendants, such as the Dispossessed and Fyreslayers.

When it comes to looks, the Kharadron look frankly awesome, with bulk suits of armour, chainguns, axes, spears and metal balloons to hoist them into the sky – plus the utterly fantastic airship ‘miniatures’.

You can take a look at some of the new figures in the teaser trailer below. The Kharadron Overlords will be released next month.

Games Workshop also announced a new Age of Sigmar starter set entitled Thunder & Blood, which will include a set of existing models as an easy entry point for newcomers. No word on a release date or price yet.
