A new Warhammer card game is on the way, and it sounds pretty fantastic.

Doomseeker focuses on the dwarven race of Games Workshop’s Fantasy miniatures wargame, popping players in the boots and beards of disgraced dwarf slayers looking to redeem themselves the only way they know how – by dying a glorious death in battle.

Each dwarf is looking to kick the bucket in a more impressive way than their rivals, with the warriors taking down as many monsters as possible before meeting their maker against the most worthy opponent they can find.

Designed by David Freeman and John Cadice of Super Dungeon: Explore, Ninja All-Stars and Relic Knights studio Ninja Division, Doomseeker is described as being a push-your-luck game, as players try to avoid being taken out by an undeserving foe.

As well as cards, there’ll be some dice in the box, but it’s not clear how these will be used during the game.

Doomseeker will be out next spring.
