Clank! makes its legacy debut in the world of Penny Arcade D&D podcast Acquisitions Inc.

The first legacy game in the deckbuilding Clank! series has been announced.

Clank! Legacy: Acquisitions Incorporated gains its unwieldy name from its crossover with long-running Dungeons & Dragons podcast Acquisitions Incorporated, which counts some of the minds behind online comic Penny Arcade alongside novelist Patrick Rothfuss in its current cast.

The legacy campaign will begin with players creating their own franchise of the adventuring company, before attempting to rise to corporate might from their amateur treasure-hunting over multiple playthroughs.

As you’d expect from the legacy label, the game board, each player’s deck and the world as a whole are set to evolve as the result of each game.

Clank! publisher Dire Wolf Digital is working with Penny Arcade on the game, which is due for release next autumn.
