The Grizzled, the fantastic co-op card game about a group of friends surviving the trenches of World War I, has been acquired by Cool Mini or Not.

CMON helped publisher Sweet Games launch an English-language version of the game in 2015, following a French release earlier in the year.

Designed by Fabien Riffaud and Juan Rodriguez, and illustrated by Tignous, the influential Charlie Hebdo cartoonist who was murdered in the early 2015 terror attack on the satirical magazine, The Grizzled received an expansion, At Your Orders!, in 2016 and was recommended for this year’s Kennerspiel des Jahres.

A new standalone expansion, Armistice Edition, is currently in development, with plans to introduce a more structured campaign to the game. There is no release date for the add-on yet.

Cool Mini or Not creative director David Preti hinted at future plans for the game in the announcement of the acquisition, saying: “CMON is happy to carry on The Grizzled’s legacy, helping it grow and expand to new heights.”
