Why Rosemere Cancer Foundation?
Rosemere Cancer Foundation Centre has treated a member of my family and a close friend. They support cancer patients all over Lancashire and South Cumbria. I’ve always been an avid supporter of this charity. If you want to know more about them or perhaps you want to support them in a different ways please visit www.rosemere.org.uk.
How much does it cost?
There is a £5 entry fee per adult. Children can attend for free with an adult.
How do I buy a ticket?
To attend Amy’s Gathering of Gamers you need to buy a ticket which are available on the door or you can buy a ticket via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/amys-gathering-of-gamers-tickets-57745920603. All profits will go to Rosemere.
What about food and drink?
There will be a tuck shop selling drinks, chocolates, snack and sandwiches. You can of course bring your own food and drink. Sorry no alcohol is permitted.
Will there be a bring and buy?
Of course! We’ve a whole room allocated to this! Simply put the price you want for the game, your name and telephone number on (or in) the box.
Will there be a raffle?
Yes, we’ve secured brand new games for the raffle, which we’ll reveal over the next few weeks and months...watch this space! All proceeds will go to Rosemere.
What’s a play-and-win section?
Play-and-win is where you can check out a certain game, play it, and then enter your name in a lottery to win that specific game. Best of all Play-and-Win is FREE!
Will this be a regular thing?
YES! This will be once a year every June.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Car: Grimsargh Village is on the B6243 between Preston and Longridge, the hall is very easy to find and is located in the heart of the village by the mini roundabout, there's over 60 car parking spaces available at the venue.
Bus: Catch the Number 1 Stagecoach bus from Preston bus station, it drops you off opposite the venue.
What do I need to bring?
You can bring your own games or use the board game library. If you’re the prepared type you can bring your own food and drink but please don’t bring any alcohol with you.
How much does the library cost?
To access the library, you’ll need to grab a Library pass and leave your name and a contact number and a deposit of £10 that you'll get back when you've finished borrowing games. Last check out for games will be 6pm. All games must be returned by 7:30pm.
