The new subscription from Hatchett Partworks

For a while, it seemed only a rumour on the internet – to find it, you had to know about it, and to get it was a whole other matter. But as more and more people are successfully receiving Warhammer 40K Imperium, the new subscription, it's a great time to talk a little more about it.

Warhammer 40K is a subscription from Hatchett Partworks. It will initially be released weekly, before becoming bi-weekly in future, as a magazine including parts to build and paint two armies for Warhammer 40k over 80 issues. Popular site Fauxhammer has also offered a first look at images from the first magazine to demonstrate the armies you'll receive over that period, as below.

Receving it in this way offers huge savings, though your initial outlay is £8.99 per week £10.99 for premium. There are also free gifts as potential subscription rewards, including plastic clue, clippers mouldline remover, small base brush, medium shade brush, large base brush, binders, dividers, high quality art prints, and a painting handle.

It has not been released nationally yet, although more and more areas of the UK are receiving it now. Some sources are referring to it as a trial by Hatchett Partworks, which explains its limited availability and difficulty obtaining a copy, though this hasn't been confirmed. Plus, a number of sources are reporting up to the fourth edition of the magazine. Regardless, registration of interest is now available.
