We’re delving deep with Descent and chilling with the Lich King

We’ve got a huge issue for you this month with a trio of hot new games landing on our shelves in the near future. First we’ve got Descent: Legends in the Dark, with its huge app-based experience, multi-level dungeons and even 3D terrain. The Lich King returns in a World of Warcraft and Pandemic System crossover in what turns out to be a lot of big, dumb fun in the best possible way – you’ve never felt this powerful in a Pandemic game.

And finally, we’ve got a first look at What’s Next? – a departure for Big Potato Games as they embark on a choose your own adventure dexterity game, it’s as brilliant as it sounds.

•    Descent: Legends in the Dark – “How do we make the coolest dungeon crawler ever?” is the question that Fantasy Flight may have answered in this epic adventure.
•    New Pandemic Alert! World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King has risen – A new Pandemic System game enters the fray, and it’s truly epic. Join us in the overblown fantasy universe of World of Warcraft to feel like a real hero.
•    What’s Next? – Big Potato go on their biggest adventure yet, with a choose your own path, dexterity party adventure game. We’ve played it, and it’s as good as it sounds.
•    Mazescape – We discover what it’s like trying to escape an M C Escher painting in these surprisingly tricky map games.

PLUS a MASSIVE 38 Reviews – We rate and review a massive 38 games in this issue, including: Streets, Overboss, Coffee Roasters, Under Falling Skies, The Darkest House, Brew, Vampire: The Masquerade – Vendetta, Vampire: The Masquerade – Rivals, Red Rising, Furnace, The Initiative and more!
