Novels, audiobooks and comics part of ‘pay what you want’ deal
You might know your Warhammer 40,000 lore, but you haven’t really delved into the bloody and brutal sci-fi universe until you’ve read the expansive series of Horus Heresy books that plot out the 31st-millenium major conflict.
Luckily for you, there’s now a quick way of catching up with some of the expansive storyline (41 books and counting as of the end of last year) which began more than a decade ago with the Horus Rising/False Gods/Galaxy in Flames trilogy.
Humble Bundle’s latest books bundle is focused entirely on the Horus Heresy, offering up dozens of the generally well-regarded novels, audiobooks and comics set around the war.
The site claims the books are worth $376 (about £300) separately, but can be picked up en masse in a digital form for as little as 80p for the first five books in the set, plus the audiobook Garro: Oath of Moment and Prospero expansion for the PC version of Games Workshop’s Horus Heresey-themed Talisman spin-off.
Up your ‘pay what you want’ price to £6.40 and you’ll add the next five books, plus the audiobook Garro: Sword of Truth, a Horus Heresey wallpaper collection and #0 in the Warhammer 40,000 comic series Will of Iron.
Finally, for £12 or more you’ll get the whole set, including the first 15 books in the series, audiobook Garro: Legion of One, the first Horus Heresy graphic novel Macragge’s Honour, digital Warhammer 40,000 art book The Emperor’s Will, Will of Iron #1 and a couple of discount coupons for The Battle of Tallarn and Battlefleet: Gothic Armada.
All of the books and comics are digital (obviously) and free of DRM and, like all of Humble’s sales, some of the money will go to charity – either one of your choice or the US refugee organisation UNHCR.
If it seems like a fair deal to you, you've got just over another nine days before the sale ends on April 12th.
