UK tabletop club Swindon and District Wargamers has announced that it will take on a 25-hour gaming challenge next month – all in the name of charity.

The Wiltshire-based group will kick off the event at 10am on Saturday, October 29th in the Moredon Community Centre and battle through to the same time on Sunday, October 30th. Including the extra hour as the clocks go back for daylight saving time, players will compete in games for a total of 25 hours.

As well as playing host to various wargames and tabletop matches, SAD will also hold a figure painting competition, with the public encouraged to come along between 10am and 5pm on the Saturday and 8am and the penultimate two hours on the Sunday and vote for their favourite.

The proceedings will all be in aid of the local Prospect Hospice charity, as well as the UK-wide organisation Combat Stress, which supports veterans impacted by mental health.
