If you hadn’t noticed, there’s a new Star Wars film out this year, and Fantasy Flight’s massively popular (and massively good) X-Wing Miniatures Game is already teasing some of the ships from the sci-fi spin-off.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, opening the door to mix the styles and designs of starcraft from both the original and prequel trilogies.

The first two Rogue One models announced for X-Wing’s tenth wave of releases lean towards the former, with another [INSERT LETTER HERE]-Wing – in this case, the troop transport vehicle U-Wing – and another TIE [INSERT NOUN ENDING IN -ER] – the sleek-looking TIE Striker.

Jokes aside, the U-Wing expansion pack will also include Rebel pilots from the upcoming movie, including Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor. Four ship cards and 14 upgrades are included in the set, including the double-sided Pivot Wing Title, with the ship supporting two crew slots and a new maneuver dial.

Meanwhile, the TIE Striker has three upgrades, including the exclusive Title Adaptive Ailerons, allowing the player to choose to essentially boost after enemy ships have been activated.

The whole of X-Wing’s ‘Wave X’ is set to launch before Rogue One is released in cinemas on December 16th.
