Fantasy blacksmithing game Smiths of Winterforge has taken a third run at crowdfunding – and this time, it’s done the trick.

Table Tyrant Games originally planned to take the Euro-style management title starring dwarves competing to be the best smithie in the land to Kickstarter last September, but pushed the launch date to mid-October after the studio was purchased by fellow Australian tabletop outlet Rule & Make.

That Kickstarter was then cancelled days into its run, with the Table Tyrant team saying that it had increased its ambitions for the game after attracting interest from an international distributor.

Attempt number three went live on Kickstarter earlier this week, and seems to have proved the team right, smashing its AUS$ 19,000 (£11,477)goal in a day and now sitting at close to AUS$ 30,000 (£18,122) with 27 days left on the clock.

There’s only a single pledge level, with AU$ 49 (£30) (plus AUS$ 20/£12 to get it to the UK) picking up the box and Kickstarter-exclusive metal coins in time for the game’s release in September.
