Portal is making sure that its upcoming re-release of Ignacy Trzewiczek’s Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island doesn’t leave existing owners feeling stranded.

Hot on the heels of the news that the desert island survival game would be re-printed in November with a new box, improved rules, fancier components and an extra scenario, the publisher revealed that it would release a separate ‘upgrade kit’ to bring some of the changes to the original game.

The kit includes the additional King Kong scenario, the revised rulebook, a collection of shaped wooden markers and stickers to apply to the pieces.

Essentially, the only big thing missing will be the more conventional squared box in place of the 2013 release’s coffin packaging.

The kit will cost $20 and be sold via Portal’s online shop.
