If Twilight Imperium wasn't epic enough, there's new expansion
It feels like Twilight Imperium is an aged wine, releasing some twenty years ago, and being re-released in new editions up to today, where fourth edition continues the galactic conquest. These are games to get your teeth into, as play time can be anywhere from four to eight hours – so it's fair to say you get your money's worth!
We reviewed the 20th anniversary fourth edition Twilight Imperium back in 2017, but you can check that out here, and of course you can always grab a copy by clicking here.
Now comes a massive expansion to the game, in Prophecy of Kings. We're told that the galaxy has grown larger, with seven brand new factions entering the game. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses, "from the gene-altering powers of the Mahact, to the watchful guard of the Argent Flight, to the mysterious and ancient Empyrean".
In addition, there'll be forty new system and hyperlane tiles, unique leader cards, new agenda and action cards, objectives, technologies, planets, lumbering mechs to consider, and new exploration decks and more. With the latter, you may make new discovered, including fragments that will let you build some incredible relics. Add to the fact there's additional colours in the box, it'll now be playable with up to eight players.
You can pick up your copy directly from Fantasy Flight Games, or by checking in with your Friendly Local Game Store. Remember of course you'll need a copy of Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition to play!
