A new way to work in the dark to serve the light

Wolfenstein, Resident Evil, and now Assassins Creed – if you love video games and board games, you’ll be merging the two interests in no time at all with recent game announcements, as Triton Noir announce pre-orders opening for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood of Venice.

The game launched on Kickstarter last year, and was funded within the day. We spoke to its creators just before its launch for a sneak peek, so it’s great to see its growth since. If you missed out then, the retail version is now open for you to pre-order at a special price until May 31st 2020.

You’ll play 26 memories in Venice, in a story-driven campaign. It’s a cooperative miniature game, so you’ll see numerous figures from the video games themselves, but also additional miniatures for new characters specific to the board game.

Much like the digital game, you can choose to fight or stay hidden, using equipment found, or maybe even manufactured by Leonardo Da Vinci. You can seek to evade others by climbing roofs and towers, and bribe enemies to follow your lead. You can even flip mechanisms to change the level layout itself. After each memory, you’ll head back to headquarters to heal your wounds and grow your fame, plus manufacture and level up your equipment.

Of course, there are surprises to be revealed during the game, which are hidden in envelopes and secret boxes included within the game.

The pre-order comes with a number of options, from the core box at £117 which includes 140 miniatures, to the Master Assassin pack, which includes 200+ miniatures. There are also expansions available, with the full set as an additional £117. That’s not all though, as there are additional miniatures you can select, dice available, and the game in different languages also.
