You’ll be able to play it later this month!

After months of anticipation, the biggest game of 2017 has been given a UK release date.

Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 will be out in on October 26th. Yes, that’s next week. Next Thursday. Fewer than seven days away, in fact.

Studio Z-Man Games has also released a teaser trailer for Matt Leacock and Rob Daviau’s follow-up to their 2015 blockbuster, hinting at some of the gameplay changes and story twists in store. (Don’t worry, there are obviously no spoilers.)

We’ve been playing Season 2 for our definitive review in the next magazine and, without spoiling anything, we can confirm that it absolutely lives up to the hype.

Like the first Legacy, the game shakes the well-worn Pandemic formula up in a number of ways. Not least is the new aspect of exploration, with players slowly revealing the plague-stricken world set more than seven decades after the first season.

The other big change is that players are no longer racing to cure the iconic four diseases from cities across the planet, but instead trying to safeguard each region from the single plague threatening the remnants of humanity, which can’t be cured once it takes hold.

If you want to find out more about how Leacock and Daviau managed to pull off the impossible and change the world twice, why not pick up the latest issue of Tabletop Gaming magazine, which features a huge exclusive interview with the designers? Most importantly, the feature is 100% spoiler-free, meaning you can go into Season 2 knowing that all the best surprises are yet to come. And remember, Tabletop Gaming can now be found in Tesco and Sainsbury's as well as WHSmith, newsagents and hobby stores!
