Dice-rolling title based on Dreamworks movie due out next year

If you want to get a taste of Modiphius’ board game spin-off of Kung Fu Panda, here’s your chance.

The publisher has opened registrations for playtesters for the game, based on the successful Dreamworks series of animated movies starring Jack Black as martial arts master (and bear) Po.

Kung Fu Panda: The Board Game sees two to four players roll dice as Po or one of his Furious Five gang of zoological karate-kicking pals to take down Tai Lung and his league of villains.

The six heroes come with miniatures and will be able to develop their fighting skills and gain Kharma over the course of the roughly 45-minute game.

The game’s due out in 2017, but you might be in with a shot of receiving some prototype components and a print-and-play kit by signing up over on the Modiphius site.
