Early access sign-ups open now

Upper Deck’s Legendary Deckbuilding Game is coming to iOS, Android and Steam, and you can now sign up to try out the digital version of the card game in early access.

Interestingly, Legendary DXP eschews the series’ branded sets – which have included Alien, Marvel, Predator and the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to name but a few – for an original fantasy setting and characters.

The fantasy world is called Alamyth, with a few teased villains including The Leprechaun Henchmen, Ernak the Lethal and Terriskai: Terror Of The Skies.

Gameplay sounds like it will be identical to the tabletop version, with the app supporting quick matching, battles against friends, custom fights and solo runs against AI.

There’s also a new gauntlet mode, where five players fight for victory points, in-game prizes and ranking in weekly leagues.

There’s no solid release date given for the game on PC and mobile yet, but you can sign up for early access (whether it’s just on Steam or will include mobile too isn’t clear) on the Legendary DXP site.
