Open to everyone – whether you're playing for the first or thousandth time

What’s better than playing games? Meeting new friends while you play games!

There are few better places to meet friendly gamers just like you than at a convention, and Tabletop Gaming Live will be no different. In fact, we’ll have a whole weekend full of social and party game sessions that anyone can take part in to try new games and meet new people!

Some of the party and social games that will be running participation games in Alexandra Palace on Saturday September 29th and Sunday 30th will be Dixit, Codenames XXL (the giant version!), Say Anything and Telestrations.

For bigger groups of over 10 people, there’ll be games of Werewolves of Miller's Hollow – the updated version of social deduction classic Werewolf – and the amazing crowd game Two Rooms and a Boom, while slightly smaller groups will have the chance to play The Resistance: Avalon, Cash ‘n Guns, Skull and Spyfall.

Sessions will run during both days of the show, and will be open to everyone, whether you’re playing for the first time or thousandth time! There’ll be plenty of time to learn the rules and play a game in only 20 minutes or so, so everyone will get a chance to enjoy playing with a group.

Running the events will be the fantastic team from Bournemouth café Coffee & Dice, which has loads of expertise running crowd games at the café and other conventions, and excels at newcomers the ropes in a friendly and accessible way.

Playing with groups this size is an experience that can rarely be had anywhere else and brings a whole new level of fun and strategy to social and party games, so definitely don’t pass up the chance to join in!

The games will be part of a weekend full of opportunities to play new and classic games, including participation sessions for roleplaying games such as Starfinder, Pathfinder, RuneQuest, Star Trek Adventures, John Carter and Call of Cthulhu, miniatures titles from Fallout: Wasteland Warfare to Frostgrave and Gaslands, and demos for brand new and upcoming releases such as KeyForge and Matt Leacock's Forbidden Sky.

If you want to take your skills to the next level, why not take part in some of the tournaments during the weekend, such as King of Tokyo and Kingdomino, or the very first UK Gunslingers Masters tournament for Wild West Exodus? You’ll get something for simply taking part – and could even win big with exclusive prizes!

There’ll be much, much more happening during the London convention, including two days of free talks, workshops and panels from expert designers and speakers that’ll have you laughing – and maybe learning something, too. See the full schedule here.
