It's reassuring then, to see that Gen Con has confirmed its dates for next year! The largest of the tabletop gatherings will go ahead from 5-8th August 2021, in Indianapolis at the Convention Centre. That makes it a mere 232 days to wait, if you're reading this when posted.

The announcement given confirms that nothing is for certain, but "Our goal for the new year is to hold Gen Con 2021 as planned, in person in Indianapolis from August 5-8. We’re working towards that objective with health and safety as our top priority."

It goes on to confirm that as a result "we’re postponing badge registration and event submission until we have a better idea of what the year will hold.", but confirms you can subscribe to its newsletter and follow on social media for more frequent updates

Given the uncertainty of this last year, it's understandable that these events will continue to be responsive to the situation as it unfolds.
