First-ever UK National Championship for VS System 2PCG taking place at UK Games Expo

This year’s UK Games Expo continues to expand its line-up of nationwide tournaments with the news that the first-ever UK National Championship for the collectible card game VS System 2PCG will be launching at the show.

Publisher Upper Deck will hold the competition on Sunday June 3rd, with more casual contents during the rest of the weekend offering the chance to win boxes from the VS series, which includes expansions based on Marvel superheroes, the Alien films and more.

The main showdown on the Sunday will be offering a prize pool of up to $2,500 (£1,933) if the number of players passes 32, with a $1,000 (£773) pool for smaller groups.

The competition is one of a number taking place at the Birmingham convention, including the first Fantasy Flight European Championships, the BHGS Challenge miniatures tournament and national finals for games including Catan, Agricola, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne.
