Fantasy Flight announces Valyrian draft set for Game of Thrones: The Card Game

Fantasy Flight Games has revealed that the next draft set for its living card game A Game of Thrones: The Card Game will be based on the Valyrians – best known as the origins of House Targaryen and mother of dragons, Daenerys.

As a quick refresher, draft packs see players create their 45-card deck from a combination of a fixed starter pack and a randomised shared pool of cards that players draw from.

Each Draft Pack comes with 50 random cards, including four new agendas which are limited to draft play. The Valyrian set’s agendas allow players to combine a variety of different factions, with differing benefits and drawbacks. There’s also one draft-exclusive card for each faction, which can similarly only be played during draft games.

The draft set additionally includes cards from the upcoming War of Five Kings cycle, which will be legal in tournament play once the full expansion has launched.
