Roman-themed spin-off of Lovecraftian RPG to receive seventh edition guide, setting books, scenario collections and a new campaign in multi-year deal with Golden Goblin

Cthulhu Invictus, the series of supplements for RPG Call of Cthulhu that takes the Lovecraftian horror to the Roman Empire, is to be bolstered with a number of new releases over the next few years.

The news comes as the result of a new multi-year deal between publisher Chaosium and Call of Cthulhu supplement maker Golden Goblin Press, which will see the production and release of a Cthulhu Invictus Seventh Edition guide, setting books, scenario collections and an original campaign for the spin-off.

Among the setting books teased were the regionally-focused supplements The Exotic East, The Inner Empire, The Northern Frontier and Britannia and Beyond, while De Horrore Ulteriorie and De Horrore Ultimo were named as the first two collections of scenarios.

Golden Goblin previously released De Horrore Cosmico, another Call of Cthulhu supplement set during the Roman Empire.

Chaosium crowdfunded Call of Cthulhu’s seventh edition back in 2013, releasing it in late 2014.

"Golden Goblin Press is thrilled and honoured for the opportunity to carry Cthulhu Invictus forward,” said president Oscar Rios. “It is our intention to revitalise the setting and expand the fan base with regular and enthusiastic support.”
