The passion project we didn't know we needed

Unlike some other Kickstarter pages, the introduction to the Blacklist Miniatures Fantasy Series 1, doesn’t start with talking about the miniatures. Instead, it begins with a background in its passion and enthusiasm for miniatures, by explaining how the Blacklist Game’s senior game designer’s history of this, led to Blacklist Games publishing several games featuring their miniatures, ultimately from this had created a whole new division.

The outcome, is Blacklist Miniatures, and it storms into the arena with Blacklist Miniatures: Fantasy Series 1, out on Kickstarter.

The Fantasy: Series 1 box is a big one, including 70 miniatures. Those 70 miniatures are varied but look to provide you all you might need – including humans, gnomes, dwarves, monks, goblins, kobolds, orcs, zombies, trogylodytes, gnolls, giant rats and spiders, skeletons, imps, oozes, giant worms, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Okay, maybe not the last one.

That box can be unlocked within its initial pledge tier of $65 (Approx. £53), but with that you also receive a Kickstarter exclusive dragon miniature, plus any unlocked stretch goals. This is great for starting or expanding your miniature collection, meaning you have the things you need to run a whole fantasy adventure out of the box. You get the impression this is a passion project, from creators who care about their miniatures.

The stretch goals unlock even more miniatures, and with the Kickstarter funded, 14 days to go, and more than double its funding goal, it’s fair to say there’ll be quite a few of these unlocked. The campaign has already seen a Vampire Lord, Werewolves, male Dwarf Barbarian, female elf cleric, and innkeeper pledge goal be met.

Miniatures are 28mm scale, and produced in PVC plastic. The designers have pitched as high quality at low price. Fulfilment will be completed by Quartermaster Logistics, and delivery is expected for December 2020.
