A new Birmingham-based board gaming event is to hold its first gathering this weekend – and donate all the profits to a good cause.

The inaugural Board in Brum will be held the afternoon of this Sunday, March 26th, in Bournville Social Club, two minutes from Bournville station, from 1:30pm until 6pm.

The get-together will cover all types of tabletop title, from board and card games to miniatures and ‘traditional’ games.

It’s £4 to attend, with profits from the event going to local youth homelessness organisation St Basil’s, which helps to provide accommodation and support for those in need.

Beyond this weekend, Board in Brum has plans to hold a monthly meeting, providing a different selection of games with members allowed to bring along their own titles, too.

If you’re nearby and free this Sunday afternoon, why not go along and check it out – and do some good while you’re there?
