Elder Sign, the co-op dice-roller set in the Lovecraftian Arkham Horror universe, is being expanded with a brand new mode. Well, new to the tabletop game, anyway.

Omens of the Pharaoh is based on the Dark Pharaoh campaign for Elder Sign: Omens, which originally made its way into the PC and mobile app back in 2013.

Omens of the Pharaoh centres on the rise of the dark pharaoh Nephren-Ka. Players must try to defeat the big bad by travelling between the Egyptian cities of Cairo and Dashur during the game’s Lightless Pyramid mode, amassing supplies before tackling threats.

They can also advance the progress of an archaeological dig, adding tokens to an expedition sheet to represent the increased knowledge and power gaining by doing so.

Finally, relics introduced in the set can be used to grant abilities such as re-rolling dice.

Omens of the Pharaoh will be out for Elder Sign at the beginning of 2018.
