If you haven’t heard of Brutal Cities, they specialise in sci-fi, cyberpunk and modern terrain for miniature wargaming. Now entering their 6th year of terrain making, they’re showcasing some favourite models and taking a closer look at some of the Brutal Cities terrain ranges.

Warhammer 40k Compatible Scenery

Fans of Warhammer 40,000 can find the collection kits best suited for use as 40k terrain. The Adamant Complex in particular, is a subrange of kits designed to quickly and easily section off your tabletop, with modular walls and fortifications. Simple but effective, the walls in particular are solid and great value for all sorts of games, from Killteam to Infinity.

3D Printable Terrain for your Miniatures Games

The epic scale Brutalist Library and Vantann Office Buildings are the first 3D printable terrain buildings from Brutal Cities. These are available for 6/8mm, 10mm, and 15mm games, though 28mm versions are in the works too. There’s also a great bundle of terrain STLs for games like Zona Alfa, or campaigns set in Eastern Europe.

Bruteopolis - 28-35mm Terrain for Miniature Wargaming

Bruteopolis - One terrain range for many games!

Bruteopolis are 28mm MDF terrain kits for you to use in multiple game settings, still at epic value. Perfect for sci-fi, cyberpunk games & modern wargaming. These are typically taller than most terrains that are available on the market, turning your suburban table into a real city. These kits suit 28, 32 and even 35mm miniature games.

Infinity Compatible Terrain

Infinity fans are spoilt for choice here – Infinity actually inspired our founder Ryan to launch Brutal Cities in the first case. The Trapper Biotech features lightweight, practical nesting terrain with translucent glazing – perfect for lighting up for 28-35mm games to “wow” your club.

If you want more gritty urban cyberpunk-inspired designs, the easy access range has a unique design: Rather than stacking levels, which can be fiddly and annoying during a game, the rear walls are removable, making interiors even easier to play during a tough day of Infinity tournament games.

Epic Scale Terrain For Your Tabletop

A more recent passion project of Brutal Cities – terrain built for amazing value, especially if you play in multiple scales. The buildings in the Civic Centre kit have been designed to stand out while perfectly matching tabletops from 6/8mm, 10mm, and even 15mm terrain. The Transformer Tower pushes the scale even further – compatible all the way from 6mm - 28mm!

You can visit The Epic Scale terrain page for a break down in more detail, including more pictures which demonstrate how it works. We’ve never seen anything like it.

What’s next for Brutal Cities?

After the latest 15mm wargaming terrain release this week, Ryan of Brutal Cities is focusing his attention back to 28mm terrain and building on some classic ranges, such as an L-shape design for the popular Eternity Labs and modular bunkers to pair with the Adamant Walls.

Ryan and his brother playing a game of Zona Alfa in 15mm. There’s a battle report on the website blog if you’d like to learn more about Zona Alfa. Ryan is currently designing more 15mm terrain for the campaign, and painting up his 15mm forces from various miniature suppliers.

Those who enjoy the smaller scale will have the chance to experience debris and dilapidated forms as the Brutalist Civic Centre gets a ruined variant. More STLs are on the horizon, too.
